Last night during the twitter party, I jokingly said that we need a FMF Recipe Book. Kate was asking about recipes. It’s hard to type recipes out in 120 characters.
But the idea won’t leave me alone. I can do this. I can “Collect” the recipes. I can put them together.
So, here’s the deal. I need your favorite recipe. Is it the one that you munch while typing out FMF? Is it your Grandma’s best cookie recipe? How about that award winning turkey chili?
Send it to me at FMFRecipes@outlook.com. Send me the recipe and a small bit about the story behind the recipe. Where are you from? What is your blog address? Why did you choose this recipe?
As of right now, I have no limits, because I’ve never done this before. I’m going to try to get everything together by Easter 2017, but also since I’ve never done this before, that might change. Also, if it’s not your own recipe, but one from a site like Pinterest, then you absolutely have to get the original owner’s permission to use it. No copyright violations at all.
Again, everything is subject to change, because I’ve never done this type of thing before. But I’m willing to learn, if you’re willing to help me.
Are you ready to help me collect recipes? And…. GO!
Hugs,
Melinda
Also as promised, Kate, here is your cake mix cookie recipe. The really cool part is that you can switch up what flavors of cake you use. I had a friend who used caramel apple cake with yummy results.
Cake Mix Cookies
Ingredients:
- 1 cake mix (dry ingredients only)
- 1/3 cup oil
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup (or so) mix ins
Mix by hand, place on ungreased cookie sheet at least 2 inches apart and bake at 350 for 8-10 mins.
Some examples are lemon cake mix with lemon zest (don’t use 1/2 cup zest!), strawberry cake mix with dark chocolate pieces, white cake mix with white chocolate pieces. Enjoy!
Oooh I love this idea.

Awesome idea Melinda. This is awesome for people who like recipe books. Me, I just use allrecipe.com and then modify a recipe for my own taste and liking. I don’t have any original recipes. I also have a vast variety of favorites. I could probably create my own recipe book. But, because I can search “The Google” for everything. I don’t! Happy Recipe Book making.

I totally understand. I actually have a notebook full of print outs from “Google” and “AllRecipe.” Oh… Hmmm… maybe I should add my one submission to AllRecipe.com to this book.

Neat project! I’ll send a recipe your way. The problem is that when I start looking at my file of recipes I want to make them all! Visiting from FMF#41

Wonderful! We may not start collecting in earnest until November, but I will save it. 🙂
