This post is part of Five Minute Fridays, where bloggers all over the internet get together and write on a one word prompt for 5 minutes, without editing or backtracking and commenting on the post before yours. Sounds like fun, doesn’t it? You can find more information over at Kate’s blog.
Today’s word is Good.
And GO:
So this happened this week. I opened up an email on Monday to find that I had won, not one, but TWO gift certificates to use Dayspring. I was ecstatic! That just almost never happens to me.
But you know what? I knew exactly who I wanted to share it with, because I had spent a good portion of Sunday with her. My friend has had such a hard time with a rough divorce, and moving away from her childhood home. I just knew she needed something to help cheer her up.
This came at such a good time for me to give it too her, to be able to bless her with this. I actually am considering giving away the second certificate too, because I looked, and couldn’t find anything I need.
Although, I did consider stocking up on Christmas gifts for family members. Is it a good thing that I’m thinking about Christmas already? I don’t know.
Life is full of good and beautiful things. Life is full of good and beautiful people. My friend is very beautiful inside and out, and didn’t deserve this divorce. But the good thing is that now I have a great friend that I love dearly.
God is so good.
STOP
Hugs,
Melinda
Amen! He always gives us ways to bless others and in doing so, we are blessed as well!

Love how His gifts…become our gifts…to then become His gifts again! 🙂 Lovely! So hard to have friends experiencing divorce. I have one too right now in that same boat. Reaching out is the best we can do…and prayers. Your fmf friend, Jenn
