A Hard Lesson to Learn

I heard this song for the first time over two years ago, probably closer to three. Why is it that the simplest things are the hardest to learn? I’m still learning what it means to be on my knees.

I tried to embed the video, but I can’t get it to work right. So, I provided the URL instead.

  1. Does anyone ever fully learn what it means? I think the times we fully appreciate the meaning are when we have low, low times in our life.BTW, the song is really beautiful and she has a wonderful voice!

  2. Melinda,I just happened upon your blog through a couple of others, and I’m so glad! I had no idea that you were in KC. We live in Columbia — we should meet up sometime!! I would love to see you.I have been reading back through your archives, specifically from the months surrounding your mom’s death, and I want you to know that Dave and I were praying for you during that time. In fact, we had your family’s name up on our mirror for the longest time to remind us to pray, and it wasn’t too long ago that we took it down. I can’t remember if I ever sent you a card, but I just want you to know that my heart was with you and grieving with you (and still does, especially reading some of your thoughts). I think it is really beautiful that you sent one of the quilts your mom pieced together to another woman — a true act of love. I guess you know Teresa got married back in December. I was blessed to be there — she was a beautiful bride! I will bookmark your blog so I can keep up with you — my e-mail is sandiwr@yahoo.comLove you, friend.
